HUGE to Add Seat Selector to New York Philharmonic Duties

June 2nd, 2008

BROOKLYN — In an effort to further simplify the booking and seat selection process at the New York Philharmonic, HUGE has been engaged to redesign the online seat selector. Previously, the NY Philharmonic had partnered with HUGE on a successful strategy and user experience project resulting in the new design of www.nyphil.org.

For the new seat selector, HUGE's user-centered design process led to a number of key enhancements. Users will now be able to see the view from their seats, check availability for concerts, make changes to items in an on-hold shopping cart and purchase ticket — all in one stop.

"We are excited to continue our work with the Philharmonic," said HUGE General Manager Shirley Au. "It was an honor to win this assignment, particularly because — as we learned later — we were competing against firms that deal exclusively with seat selection apps."

Upon seeing a prototype of HUGE's new concept, an employee of NY Philharmonic ticket office said "This is awesome! All day I help people try to figure out how to buy seats and this is so simple, it's going to blow them away!"
