QA Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager institutes best practices and consistency across all projects with the goals of reducing development costs, shortening release cycles and improving code quality.  As the Manager of several QA teams, you will responsible for all resourcing and recruiting, planning and department management. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performance and quality of work of all QA and Deployment teams on all projects
  • Partner with Technology Project Managers and Technology Directors on integrating Quality Management into the overall SDLC processes
  • Lead testing process standardization, adoption, and improvement
  • Identify and implement QA process and tool improvements that lead to increased workplace productivity
  • Plan and implement test automation processes for different applications/technologies
  • Review and approve Test Strategy and Test Plans for all testing engagements
  • Review quality and delivery metrics that measure the benefits for their teams and track the quality of services delivered
  • Coordinate work across multiple teams to develop, update, and implement contingencies to meet changing project or service needs
  • Ensure that the appropriate test infrastructure and tools for project teams are delivered
  • Responsible for managing performance testing across all projects
  • Manage a team in charge of all deployment processes and release management
 
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of Software Application testing and Deployment Management experience
  • 5+ years experience in Software QA/Testing Management and Team Leadership
  • Leadership skills, technical expertise and excellent communication skills are a must
  • Thorough understanding of QA Principles, techniques, & technologies and various software development methodologies including Agile principles
  • Experience in test automation scripts and test automation frameworks
  • Experience managing diverse teams of 20 or more people
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented and data driven testing methodologies
  • Experience in producing program level QA metrics for test case coverage and defect workflow status
  • Experience with a variety of QA tools that includes but not limited to: HP Quality Center, QTP, Test Director, Silk suite, performance tools, defect tracking tools, code debug tools, etc.
  • Experience with different facets of QA tests such as functional, regression, integration, performance, UAT, and operational readiness testing
  • Experience with release and configuration management
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high stress, high productivity environment while maintaining excellent working relationships with people in a wide variety of functional areas
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively
  • Computer Science degree or related field
  • Experience working in Digital Agencies is a strong plus.
