Engagement Director (Stockholm)
The Engagement Director is responsible for providing both strategic and tactical leadership across multi-million dollar engagements while still keeping a finger on the pulse of day-to-day project activities with a focus on meeting deliverable requirements, assuring overall quality of deliverables and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. They must be able to identify a client’s business needs and work with HUGE cross-functional teams to understand, define, and build effective and innovative solutions that generate measurable results. The Engagement Director is as much a leader as they are a communicator and mentor.
This opportunity will be based out HUGE's Stockholm office and the successful candidate will be a key player in building relationships with HUGE's existing European clients. The qualified candidate will have significant international experience and a background working on multi-million dollar initiatives for global brands. They will also possess a strong business acumen and the ability to work independently and in team environments.
Responsibilities:
- Set overall account management strategy, working closely with cross-functional project teams to execute plans
- Expand contacts with key client executives and maintain strong post-engagement relationships and introduce new opportunities accordingly
- Consistently identify needs the client may not recognize and ensure that approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
- Manage account P&L by developing statements of work, ensuring work is delivered according to terms and budget
- Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback
- Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across the account based on engagement strategy and work signed
- Serve as a new business resource and grow existing accounts where possible
- Lead strategic development of new business such as RFP responses and proposal writing
- Interview, hire, mentor staff and resolve team conflicts as required
- Oversee general office operations as required
- Report applicable engagement status and strategic recommendations to clients, team members and senior HUGE management on a regular basis
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 10 - 15+ years related experience in a client services organization, preferably on projects with top tier consulting firms or interactive agencies (including web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting projects)
- Stockholm-based, some travel to Brooklyn, New York headquarters and HUGE London office as required. Be on-site at client offices in Stockholm as required
- Proven ability to manage long term, multi-million dollar engagements with multiple project tracks
- Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve digital/interactive/marketing problems
- Ability to foster strong working relationships with interdisciplinary team
- Firm understanding of project management processes and methodologies
- Strong understanding of web development and design lifecycle
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar accounts successfully
- Deep understanding and awareness of product development and experience tying product goals to business goals
- Strong presentation, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and presentations
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies, technology vendors and third party offerings
- Proven track record of satisfied large scale clients
- Ability to work autonomously and liaise with other HUGE offices. Must have experience hiring and managing staff
- Fluency in written and spoken English, fluency in other languages preferred but not required
- Significant international experience working for global brands with multi-national presences.
- MBA preferred
